It may be surprising for you. But if you understand them, it will help you enjoy and feel Japanese culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1, Always wash your body with &#8220;kake-yu&#8221; (pouring water) before entering the hot bath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2, People with long hair should tie their hair up to keep it out of the bathwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3, Do not bring towels into the bath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4, Do not swim or talk loudly in the bath as it may disturb others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5, After leaving the bath, make sure to dry your body with a towel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6, Avoid drinking too much alcohol before taking a bath, as it may cause fainting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7, Do not use your phone or camera in the changing room or bath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8, Do not dye your hair or do laundry in the bathroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are very basic rules, and Japanese people can easily recognise whether your behavior is considerate of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2, How to enjoy it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many ways to have a fantastic experience in a hot spring. Below are my recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1, Enjoying a view around hot springs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2, Soaking in a hot spring until your feel hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3, Drinking milk coffee and having a chat with local people after taking a hot spring. (if you can speak Japanese, because most of local people can&#8217;t speak foreign languages.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In conclusion, hot spring is a best place to immerse yourself in Japanese traditional culture.
